Experience
I am a tutor with extensive experience studying and teaching English and History. I graduated from Marymount College with a bachelor's degree in Business and Marketing. After graduating, I attended the College of Mount Saint Vincent and earned a master's degree in Multicultural Education. I have ten years of experience teaching students at the middle school level. Recently I have started teaching at an elementary school level, and I have enjoyed the experience because it represents a nice change of pace. I am able to tutor students in a variety of subjects, but my favorite subjects to teach are Writing, Grammar, and English. I place an emphasis on teaching my students basic grammar because this tends to help with writing in general. I have also developed an interest in History and am able to teach United States History and African American History. I am also capable of teaching a variety of subjects related to Science, including Earth Science, Physical Science, Life Sciences, and Astronomy. Despite already having a master's degree, I am still taking classes because learning is a never ending process. This also provides a good example for my students because they see that I am still working as a student even though I'm their teacher. In my free time, I like to travel to the Caribbean, read, paint, and play basketball.
